Jerome Franklin ’89

President:
Jerome Franklin ’89

Duties: Helps develop the upcoming year's programs and special events to engage parents, students, and alumni in the chapter. Presides at all meetings and Chapter functions, serves as ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½'s principal Alumni Association representative for the chapter and chief liaison between the chapter and Alumni Relations staff, and assists Alumni Relations in event planning and follow up.

Harold C Smith ’93

Vice President:
Harold C Smith ’93

Duties: Performs the duties of the President in the event of his or her absence, helps develop the upcoming year's programs and special events, serves as a chair for additional committees, assists in the selection of those committees, serves as the next Chapter president, and recruits a new Vice-President to take his or her now vacant position.

Donald Duggan ’86

Alumni Engagement Co-Chair:
Donald Duggan ’86

Duties: Ensures that all Black alumni are made aware of the BAC and recruits any current Black alumni to become engaged with the chapter in some form, especially after initial contact from the President and Vice President of the Chapter. This role connects with the Young Alumni Chair to welcome recent graduates to the chapter through special programming for new chapter members. This role develops unique avenues to discover the interest of current BAC members and connects them with a particular committee/interest group/chair (i.e. Mentorship, Career Networking, Annual Fund) within the Chapter and the College.

Larry Hurd ’09

Young Alumni Co-Chair:

Duties: Engages the Graduates of the Last Decade by identifying their needs and interests, planning appropriate programming and gatherings, cultivating future leaders for the college, and assisting the Alumni Office in projects focused on young alumni.

Morgan Hanna ’13

Annual Fund Liaison/Fundraising Chair:
Morgan Hanna ’13

Serves as a representative for promotion of the Annual Fund, keeps Chapter members up-to-date on the chapter and overall progress of the Annual Fund, assists the Annual Fund team with fundraising or stewardship efforts, recruits volunteers to assist as needed.

Staff Liaison:

Duties: Serves as the representative of black staff, keeping the alumni chapter up-to-date on current needs, challenges and concerns of black staff as well as opportunities to encourage staff and alumni engagement.

Duties: Serves as the representative of black faculty, keeping the alumni chapter up-to-date on current needs, challenges and concerns of black faculty as well as opportunities to encourage faculty and alumni engagement.

James Cartwright III ’74

Career Networking Chair:

Duties: Helps develop and oversee career networking opportunities including: connecting young graduates or career seekers to potential opportunities, recommending and helping to plan networking events, and working closely with the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations to host networking activities and keep the Alumni Relations staff aware of job leads and intern/extern opportunities.

Student Liaison:

Duties: Serves as the representative for the current black student population, keeping the alumni chapter up-to-date on current needs, challenges, and concerns of students as well as events and opportunities to encourage student and alumni engagement.
